The package of laws of the Republic of Armenia on Making Amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Armenia and the Law on Making Amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia adopted by the National Assembly on 23 March, 2020 has become effective.

Accordingly, the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia was amended by two articles envisaging two new crimes.

In particular, Article 124.1 of the Code has been supplemented by the crime incidence of new coronavirus infection (2019n-CoV) among the crimes against life and health.
