RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Hakob Arshakyan met with representatives of online trading companies in Armenia to discuss the dynamics of online trading growth in the state of emergency, the problems that arise and possible solutions.
Executives of about a dozen online trading companies attended the meeting
In particular, they noted that in the state of emergency declared to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), online trading volumes have increased, in some cases up to 50%, especially in the case of food, fruit and vegetable deliveries. Representatives of the companies also assured that with the available resources they can fully handle the received orders, in some cases even in the regions.
Representatives of the companies have voiced the need for introduction of modern electronic taxation systems and site localization reforms, and have made suggestions in these areas.
Possible sides of cooperation with “HayPost” CJSC, prospects for deliveries through the use of the company’s regional network in these processes wre discussed. They also touched upon the problems and obstacles that arise with the growth of online trading, the opportunities for expanding to the regions, online platform maintenance, logistics, delivery expansion and a number of other issues.
The participants of the meeting expressed readiness to unite forces in the current situation in the country to provide the most convenient services through online trading.
