The state of emergency declared on the basis of the emergency situation in the Republic of Armenia is, of course, accompanied by certain restrictions on public and economic life due to the need to combat the new coronavirus (COVID-19) infection and to protect public health.
Public Relations Department of the Human Rights Defender’s Office informs.
These restrictions have also caused business difficulties for businesses. These difficulties can also arise these days with the extraordinary regime of organizing the work of state bodies.
The protection of business interests is an important area of the Human Rights Defender’s activity, both in the ordinary and especially in emergency situations, and issues in the Defender’s competence are at the center of our daily attention. Therefore, we inform the businessmen that in case of problems with the state bodies they can apply to the Defender for assistance.
The Ombudsman’s Office has a Division for the Protection of Business Rights, and businesses can call 116 or 096- 116-100 (for non-business days and hours).
Earlier, the Human Rights Defender responded to the concerns of workers in the state of emergency, but it should be borne in mind that protection of rights requires a complex approach, considering the guarantee of the rights of all parties.
