Today, President Armen Sarkissian had a working meeting with Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan.

The Minister briefed the President on the current state and trends of the spread of the new coronavirus in Armenia, as well as the measures taken to prevent and treat the infection. The Minister also touched upon the existing problems.

President Sarkissian attached importance to steps aimed at protecting the population’s health and prevent the spreading of new coronavirus infection. From the point of view of exchange of experience and information, the President considered very important the cooperation with different countries and relevant international organizations, which could also contribute to increasing the effectiveness of the fight against disease.

President Sarkissian expressed his readiness to support and assist the Government in this matter.
