The Armenian Red Cross Society, the largest voluntary organization supporting the government in the humanitarian field and in the country, as well as being represented in all provinces and numerous communities, has always stood by the government and the population.
In the days of the state of emergency declared due to the coronavirus epidemic, ARCS will provide the following services:
Considerongthe fact that lonely elderly and people with disabilities are more vulnerable to infection, the Armenian Red Cross Society has mobilized its entire volunteer potential to support lonely elderly and people with disabilities in household matters, including shopping, to limit the scope of their contact.
The Social-Psychological Assistance Centers of the Armenian Red Cross Society will operate in emergency mode in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Armenia (addresses: 21/1 Paronyan Street, 28 Isahakyan, E-mail [email protected], Gavar Central Square, House of Culture 52, [email protected], Dilijan, Myasnikyan 53, Chamber of Culture, [email protected]), where ARCS psychologists will volunteer to register and mentor volunteers.
The ARCS volunteers will be in touch with citizens in isolation in Tsakhkadzor and Dilijan online to find out their needs and transfer them to the sector responsible.
ARCS all care services continue to operate in the same manner.
The list of translators of the Armenian Red Cross Society will be transmitted to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia so that foreign hotline applicants of the Ministry can be directed to the Armenian Red Cross Society and have access to information in their language.
Volunteers will distribute information leaflets to the population in public places throughout the country (transit stops, grocery stores and drugstores, underground passages).
ARCS volunteers will distribute information materials and videos on online platforms.
