Chief of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Artak Davtyan addressed a message to parents and relatives of compulsory military servicemen.
Dear Compatriots,
A new type of coronavirus infection is expanding its borders day by day, including the Republic of Armenia. Faced with the serious challenge of the coronavirus infection, the authorities of the Republic of Armenia have established a state of emergency in the country to fight and prevent the spread og thr disease, development and adverse effects of the infection on the nation’s economy.
Soldier is the high value for the leadership of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, and everything possible is done to keep him out of health problems.
In this situation, I appeal to you to prevent the infiltration of the disease to the RA Armed Forces.
- Do not unduly interfere with large-scale and multifaceted activities and preventive measures in cooperation with the Armed Forces Command, Ministry of Health and other state agencies;
- Consciously and understandingly approach the decision not to grant leave to mandatory conscription; this step is aimed at excluding the latter from contacting potentially infected citizens,
- Avoid sending food, hygiene, and other items to servicemen.
- Do not disclose information about the spread of the infection during telephone conversations or to relatives, friends, or acquaintances being infected so as not to cause anxiety among the military.
By showing utmost caution and restraint, you will enable your children to carry out their responsibilities duly.
I am confident and hopeful that through our joint and mutual work we will also overcome this challenge.
I wish health to all of us.”
