The Special Sitting of the National Assembly is over

The National Assembly approved the government’s decision to declare a state of emergency over the spread of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and the infection, described by the World Health Organization’s Director-General on 13 March, 2020 as a pandemic.

The special sitting of the National Assembly is over. The deputies had not submitted a draft on state of emergency, so there was no voting.

A state of emergency has been declared in the Republic of Armenia from 18:30 today till April 14, 17:00.
