Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Lena Nazaryan posted a note on her Facebook page informing that she participated in the funeral of the murdered woman in Gyumri.

“I attended the funeral of the murdered woman in Gyumri. Governor Tigran Petrosyan, Mayor Samvel Balasanyan and Prime Minister’s Spokeswoman Mane Gevorgyan were also present. If the fate and the people around it are cruel, then the public must be careful and sensitive; if the surrounding has turned away, then the state is responsible for its citizen. This case would not have happened if relatives, neighbors, teachers had made timely alerts, and of course, if social workers had done their job properly. We must not allow new casualties under the guise of silence and inaction. I am also grateful to the journalists who report on a social issue such as violence.”
