On 5 March, 2020, at 2:50 pm and then at 3:15 pm, the Gyumri Ambulance Station CJSC received a call from the Gyumri town Mush division that a 42-year-old woman ,resident of the same house had died and her 12-year-old daughter with diagnosis of “traumatic shock, craniocerebral injury were taken for medical aid.
The law enforcers who arrived at the scene found the body of a 42-year-old resident of the same house with traces of violence, as well as a 28-year-old resident of Gyumri, a relative of the latter.
The man was arrested on suspicion of committing a crime and confessed in beating the 42-year-old woman and her underage daughter.
The same day, he was arrested on suspicion of committing a crime.
On 5 March, 2020, the Shirak Regional Investigation Department initiated a criminal case under Article 112 of the RA Criminal Code (intentional Infliction of willful heavy damage to health) Part 2 paragraph 1 (in relation to two or more persons) and Part 14 Pragraph 2 (caused the death of the aggrieved by negligence).
The preliminary investigation is ongoing. Other investigative and procedural actions are underway to find out all the circumstances of the case.
Note: The person suspected in or accused of an alleged crime is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in accordance with the Court’s verdict made effective.
Nikolay Dallakyan, director of “Surb Astvatsamayr” Medical Center, informed about the girl’s health condition. According to him, the child has a number of fractures.
