According to the daily report of the State Committee on Health of China, as of 2 March 2020, 16:00, there have been 80175 confirmed cases of new coronavirus (COVID-19) in China, 44607 (55.6% healed). There were 2915 deaths (3.6%). There are 88950 confirmed cases in the world. And there are 8776 cases in 62 countries outside China.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), as of 2 March, there were 87137 laboratory confirmed cases worldwide, of which 79968 in China and 2873 in fatalities. Out of China, there were 7,169 cases in 58 countries outside of China, of which 104 were fatal.
Work on fighting new coronavirus continues in Armenia. There have already been 120 tests with one positive result.
According to the WHO’s new approaches, the New Coronavirus Infection Treatment Algorithm and standard case definitions have been updated, which will be approved and updated as prescribed. Medical staff preparedness measures are being implemented to ensure the fight against the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in medical organizations of the Republic.
Ministry specialists are in constant contact with WTO and regional partners to discuss the capabilities to combat infection.
Ministry of Health urges:
- When planning international trips, consider the country’s epidemic,
- Avoid contact with patients with respiratory infections, if possible use personal protective equipment (masks).
- Wash your hands with soap and water before entering the house and eating or clean with an alcohol-based disinfectant.
- Contact your doctor if you have any flu symptoms.
- If you have returned from a country where there have been cases of coronavirus infection and you have symptoms typical of influenza, then seek medical attention, stating that you have traveled for the past 14 days.
