For the Sake of Health, the Passport and Visa Department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia calls to follow a Few Rules

For the sake of health protection, the RA Police Passport and Visa Department has released information calling to comply with a number of rules to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

“Considering that health authorities have clearly provided guidelines for health care and the prevention of possible spread of the virus, please also observe the following simple rules.

  1. Sometimes, as a result of ignorance of the legislation, a parent may also come to the passport service with a child under 16 years of age, to be registered in the State Register of the Population, to receive a public service number, and other actions, where there is no need or justification for the care of the child at home.

It is necessary to acknowledge:

For a child under the age of 16, any passport operation is performed without the child’s compulsory presence. Therefore, when visiting passport services, avoid coming with the children.

  1. Passport services are sometimes presented not only by citizens who have to apply for a specific service but also with accompanying persons. Please avoid coming to passport services with escorts.
  2. We also inform you that besides receiving passports and submitting RA citizenship application, all other activities can also be performed by authorized person.

Therefore, it should be borne in mind that one person may apply to other family members, relatives, and relatives in addition to his or her specific action, even for other persons, with simple written power of attorney.

Thank you for understanding. In many cases, health is also in our hands.”
