Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas, who is in Armenia on a working visit.

The Prime Minister welcomed his visit to Yerevan and congratulated him once again on his appointment. Nikol Pashinyan attached importance to the role of the CSTO in ensuring security in the region. “We need to continue our consistent work to increase and enhance the effectiveness of the organization.” The head of government underlined the close cooperation in the face of global challenges and expressed hope that during the tenure of Stanislav Zas it would be possible to solve various existing problems.

The CSTO Secretary General presented to the Prime Minister the programs and priorities outlined within the organization, including the conduct of joint military exercises and cooperation with other international organizations.

In the course of the meeting they also touched upon the organization of events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, as well as a number of other issues of international and regional importance.
