3 Million AMD Prize for “Ayo” Logo taken back from “Garoon” Company, others will receive it

The prize of 3 million drams allocated for the first prize of the “Ayo” (“Yes”) campaign logo of the Constitutional Referendum on 5 April will be distributed between the successors of  Nikolay Yengibaryan, editor of the “Yerekoyan Yerevan” daily of 1991, graphic artists Tsolak Kantegh Gharibyan and Stepan Noroyan.

Vahagn Alexanyan, spokesman for the “Civil Contract” Party, said. “Each one will receive one million drams. And the company that introduced the logo to the competition will not receive a monetary award.”

Notably, the logo, published on 25 February, appears to be a duplicate of the “Yes” logo published in the newspaper in 1991, which was published in the “Evening Yerevan” newspaper 29 years ago. The logo was presented as a logo of the campaign headquarters of the “Yes” campaign in the 2020 Constitutional Referendum by the “Garoon” company. Its Facebook page says that it provides services in the areas of branding, design, programming, marketing, and advertising.
