According to the government decision restricting the Iran-Armenia border crossings that came into force yesterday, all trucks coming from the Meghri checkpoint are being escorted by our specialists and police to the territory of Armenia. The Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan reports.

“Drivers that are citizens of Iran are subject to surveillance throughout Armenia, including the State Revenue Committee’s customs warehouses, before their returning to Iran. Citizen drivers of Armenia are controlled by their place of residence.

On my assignment today, the Specialist of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia left for Tehran,  to carry out proper control of the passengers returning to Armenia, while boarding the plane. He will check their health on the spot, instruct them to use protective equipment and pass on information to us for proper control in Yerevan. In the absence of complaints, passengers will be subject to home surveillance and those with complaints will be tested, and hospitalized if necessary.
