Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a letter of condolences to German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the tragedy in Hanau.

The telegram specifically states:

“Dear Mrs. Merkel,

I was deeply saddened to hear about the tragedy in Hanau.

On behalf of the Armenian people and myself, I express my condolences and support to you and the friendly people of Germany. I wish patience and courage to the relatives and loved ones of the victims, and quick recovery to the wounded.”
