Aram Sargsyan’s tenure as Prime Minister after 27 October, 1999 was organized on the basis of the programs listed in the diary of the RA Prime Minister Vazgen Sargsyan, who became a victim of crime in the National Assembly.
“Otherwise I would have failed in the second month. Vazgen was prime minister for 4 months, then I was the PM for 6 months. These 10 months have absolute numbers, that period has not been studied well and I, as well as he unfortunately did not have a habit to demonstrate achievements,” Aram Sargsyan, Chairman of the political council of “Republic” Party the brother of Prime Minister Vazgen Sargsyan, who was killed on 27 October in the National Assembly, said this in the interview with Iravaban.net.
According to him, after October 27, the diary belonging to Vazgen Sargsyan, where he was writing about his upcoming activities, has a lot of interesting things but publishing them now is not advisable.
Aram Sargsyan also mentions meetings with his family and the RA second President Robert Kocharyan after Vazgen Sargsyan’s death. He says Robert Kocharyan complained to his parents about not coming to an agreement. Aram Sargsyan also referred to the work and opportunities of the National Security Service, as well as information about former military prosecutor Gagik Jhangiryan. “Gagik Jhangiryan knows what meaning is under every sentence, he is the most informed,” he said.
