Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Anna Naghdalyan issued a statement informing that an Armenian citizen in China’s Wuhan city was evacuated and transferred to Russia.

“We inform that on 4 February, as a result of our cooperation with our Russian partners, Armenian citizen Lyudmila Baghdasaryan, who was in Wuhan, China, was evacuated and transferred to Russia. The Embassy of the Republic of Armenia is in constant contact with our citizen and steps are being taken to return her to the Homeland as soon as possible.

We express our deep gratitude to our Russian counterparts for responding promptly to our request and for their support.

We also inform that the evacuation is carried out only from the quarantine area, Hubei province. Other citizens of the Republic of Armenia in Hubei have refused to evacuate.”
