Today, the second hearing of the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan against businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan has been postponed again. Edik Avetisyan, Judege of the Court of First Instance of Yerevan, postponed the hearing as Silva Hambardzumyan’s had involved a new lawyer, who did not get acquainted with the case materials.
The next court hearing is scheduled for 2020, on January 29 at 1:10 pm
Reminder: The lawsuit was filed by Robert Kocharyan’s lawyer, Aram Orbelyan, seeking to refute the factual facts of defamation and to recover two million AMD in compensation. The following statement was made during a press conference by Silva Hambardzumyan at the “Hayatsk” Press Club on November 2, 2015: “I made a big deal with the Arabs in 2008 and paid the president of the republic, Robert Kocharyan, not to hinder me.”
