The National Assembly’s “My Step” faction has opposed the “Bright Armenia” faction’s draft to make the post of director of the National Security Service and Chief of Police political. That is, in case if the law was adopted, people outside the system could also be appointed to these positions.
Despite the fact that in the first reading of the draft, “My Step” voted for it, the faction now believes that the law contradicts the Constitution.
