Davit Khazhakyan, Head of the “Luys” Faction of the Yerevan Council of the Elders invited Mayor Hayk Marutyan to a live TV debate. He posted about it on his Facebook page.
“Dear Mr. Marutyan, for days we have been alerting you about the corrupt nature of your transactions and abuse of your official authority. You responded live, which raised more questions. I hereby discontinue the distance debate and invite you to a face-to-face live debate, which, as an element of democratic culture, has no alternative. In the debate, I will substantiate why I argue that your actions are corrupt and abuse of power. And you will be able to answer the questions raised point by point,” the post reads.
Khazhakyan noted that he will wait until 3 December, 18:00, to reach an agreement with the TV Company.
