Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan welcomed the adoption of a resolution by the US House of Representatives on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide.

“I welcome the historic vote by the US House of Representatives on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide. The resolution is a powerful step in the direction of historical justice and truth, which also provides consolation to the heirs of the survivors of the Armenian Genocide. Acknowledge my heartfelt congratulations and admiration to the generations of American Armenians whose self-sacrificing political and public activity and perseverance were the driving force and excitement of this historic vote. Never again,” PM Pashinyan noted.

The Prime Minister writes on his Facebook page:

“The US House of Representatives passed the resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide with 405 “for”, 11 “against”, 3 “abstentions”.

This is an important step in the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide and in the global prevention of genocides.

Let us commemorate the memory of one and a half million innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.”
