The title of “Friend of Echmiadzin” was awarded to Jonathan Lacôte, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia.

The title was awarded by the decision of Mayor Diana Gasparyan.

“Within this short period, cooperation between France and Echmiadzin has moved to another level. Echmiadzin has become a center for Armenian-French cooperation. Today we have a beautiful gift for our citizens; the internal city transport network will soon be launched in Echmiadzin. We did not have it in the past, but now the city will have its internal transport due to Jonathan Lacôte’s devotion,”Diana Gasparyan said.

Echmiadzin Day is celebrated today.
