The Criminal Case with Accusation against Robert Kocharyan, Seyran Ohanyan, Yuri Khachaturov and Armen Gevorgyan has been sent to the Prosecutor with petition to send it to the Court

The preliminary investigation of the case separated from the criminal case in the Special Investigation Service into the events that took place in Yerevan from 1 to 2 March, 2008, has been completed.

The criminal case with accusation on retired president of the RA Robert Kocharyan, Chief of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces Seyran Ohanyan, the RA Deputy Minister of Defense Yuri Khachaturov, and the Chief of Staff of the RA President Armen Gevorgyan has been sent to the supervising prosecutor with petition to send it to the curt.

As it has already been informed, Robert Kocharyan is charged under Part 1 of Article 300.1 and Article 311 (4) Point 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, for overthrowing the constitutional order and taking bribe in particularly large amount,

Seyran Ohanyan is charged under Part 1 of Article 300.1 of the RA Criminal Code for overthrowing the constitutional order,  

Yuri Khachaturov is charged under Part 1 of Article 300.1 of the RA Criminal Code for overthrowing the constitutional order of the Republic of Armenia,  

Armen Gevorgyan is accused under Article 38-300.1, Article 311, Clause 4, Part 2, and Article 190, Part 3 of the of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia for assisting in overthrowing the constitutional order, taking bribe in particularly large amount and legitimizing (legalizing) illegally obtained income.

Note: A person that is suspected or accused of an alleged crime is considered innocent until his/her guilt is proved by a court judgment that has come into legal effect pursuant to the procedure determined by RA Criminal Procedure Code.
