The Alumni of the 2018 flow of Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders received their Certificates

On 19 December, the closing ceremony of the 2018 flow of Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders took place.

Mr. Karen Zadoyan, President of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association of said in his welcoming speech that in addition to theoretical knowledge the school graduates got acquainted with the anti-corruption tools and the nuances of their implementation. “They already are trained and knowing anti-corruption specialists,” Karen Zadoyan said.

8 young people presented reports on their research in the field of anti-corruption. They talked about the “Possibilities for returning the Stolen Assets to Armenia”, the “Whistleblowers System in Armenia: Current Problems and Development Tendencies”, “The Necessity for Introduction of the Institute of Beneficial Owners in Armenia”, “International Standards of the Capacity of Independent Anti-Corruption Bodies.”

According to Gor Badalyan, a graduate of the school, nearly a year’s training provided new knowledge and skills to the graduates. “A school that shapes political will, justice, for struggles against a phenomenon that has deep roots in all aspects of the country’s economic, political and social development. Another stream has been equipped with tools that should be used to combat corruption,” he said.
