The Ministry of Justice has submitted for public discussion a Draft Law “On Making Addendum to the Law of the Republic of Armenia on State Duty”.

It is noted that, as a result of the adoption of the draft law, mass media that are registered in the manner provided by law, will be exempted from the responsibility of paying state duty for receiving the information from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

It is envisaged that the new paragraph of Article 29 will be supplemented with a sentence which reads:

“The media registered in the manner provided by the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On State Registration of Legal Persons, State Record-Registration of Separated Subdivisions, Institutions of Legal Persons and Individual Entrepreneurs” shall be exempted from the payment of state duty for the provision of information held in the State Register of the Republic of Armenia, except for cases when the amount of information required during one month exceeds the printed or copied 10 pages.”
