On 11 February, working meetings with the OSCE delegation was held at the Security Council office. A wide range of issues relating to the democratic control of the security sector of the Republic of Armenia were discussed during the meeting. Greeting the present, the Advisor to the Secretary of the Security Council A.Margaryan presented the structure and functions of the Security Council and its Office, emphasizing the importance of civil society involvement in the process of developing security policy.

Areg Kochinyan, spokesperson for the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia, informed about this.

The parties touched upon the experience and development opportunities of the SC Office and NGOs.

Members of the OSCE delegation expressed their willingness to provide expert assistance in the processes of civil society involvement in the security sector.
