On 9 January, the objectives of the sub-grant projects and requirements for program reporting were presented to the representatives of CSO Coalitions and CSOs of provided in the scope of the sub-grant component of the EU-funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project program implemented by the Armenian Lawyers Association.
At the beginning of the workshop, Mr. Artak Saribekyan, the Deputy Project Manager/Grants Manager of the project made a welcoming speech. He presented the priority obligations of the organisations in the coming months, wishing them joint and productive work.
Ms Narine Mezhlumyan, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project, presented the procedure for compiling and presenting sub-grant reports, and the reporting format. She particularly highlighted the presentation of supporting justification materials.
BDO Armenia CJSC will accept the financial reports and carry out financial control of sub-grantees. Ms Ani Vardanyan and Ms Astghik Shahgeldyan, the representatives of the organisation presented information on the requirements for financial reports.
In addition, the organisations shall puss audit at the end of the projects. Grant Thornton CJSC will carry out the audit phase. Ms Meline Harutyunyan, the representative of the organisation presented information about the audit phase and explained what preparatory activities the organisations shall carry out.
The whole process of the CSCE program should be transparent, reflecting the mission and activities of each organisation.
Ms Alisa Chilingaryan, Media Campaigns Specialist/Journalist of CCD Project, introduced the information dissimilation and publication of reporting materials mechanisms. She mentioned the methodology and the sequence/order of carrying out the above mentioned activities.
The “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union by a Consortium of civil society organisations, which are the Armenian Lawyers’ Association (lead organisation), Agora Central Europe (NGO based in the Czech Republic), the Armenian Centre for Democratic Education-CIVITAS, the International Centre for Human Development, the SME Cooperation Association and the Union of Communities of Armenia.
