Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his spouse Anna Hakobyan attended a gala concert in Republic Square on the margins of the 17th Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie. The Official website of the Prime Minister informs.
The concert was attended by President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the heads of national delegations, and the top political and spiritual leadership of Armenia.
The Armenian State Symphonic Orchestra performed during the concert, introducing Armenian composers’ musical pieces, including Aram Khachaturian’s Symphony No.2, The Uzun Dara, The Sabre Dance (jazz version), The Masquerade, a fragment from Avet Terteryan’s Symphony No.3, the Fishers’ Dance by Grigor Yeghiazaryan from Sevan Ballet and Edward Mirzoyan’s Symphony.
The Symphonic Orchestra and Jivan Gasparyan performed The Kochari Dance and The Dle Yaman respectively. The final part of the gala concert was dedicated to the memory of world-famous Chansonnier Charles Aznavour.
Prime Minister Pashinyan offered to President Emmanuel Macron the Armenian version of Macron’s book, entitled “The Revolution.” The book has been published in the run-up to the OIF Summit with the support of the Armenian State.
