According to our information, the court has taken a decision to detain former ex-president Robert Kocharyan as a means of restraint.
The verdict on Robert Kocharyan’s detention was published at the court sitting presided by Judge Vache Margaryan at Shengavit residence of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction.
It should be reminded that on July 26, Robert Kocharyan has been charged according to Article 300.1 Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code for the fact that he has overthrown the Constitutional Order of the Republic of Armenia with prior agreement with other persons.
On the same day, a motion was filed to the Yerevan City Court of General Jurisdiction of First Instance to choose a detention of Robert Kocharyan as a measure of restraint.
Former Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Colonel General Michael Harutyunyan, CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov are accused of overthrowing the constitutional order of the Republic of Armenia as well.
