At today’s cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister touched upon the issue of a Chinese company in a section of the North-South Road. He noted that Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan promised to provide concrete information in that relation on June 1.
“The problem is quite deeper, as far as we have been able to understand. One of the solutions we offer is, in general, suspension of any cooperation with that company, but I do not think it’s an effective solution. I think, there are also some corruption issues here, and they should be studied to be able to get a comprehensive and overall picture because it has a long history. As I understand, it should be examined in details just from the point of view of corruption, Also, in cooperation with SRC and the Police we should get deeper in the issue,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
Nikol Pashinyan mentioned that it is necessary to provide a prompt, but not the fast solution, because there is a a delay related to the construction of this section of road during the past two years. This part of the road include the Lanjik-Gyumri area.
