On 8 May, President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan sent a congratulatory message to Nikol Pashinyan on his election as Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

The message reads:

“Honorable Mr. Pashinyan,

On behalf of the people of Artsakh, the authorities and myself, I congratulate you on being elected to the high and responsible position of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

I hope that the government formed by you will continue to do everything possible to strengthen the independent Armenian statehood, to strengthen the people’s defense capacity, to increase the living standards of the population, to develop and deepen the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora trinity.

Once again I congratulate you and wish you peace, good health and great successes for the benefit of our Homeland and the Armenian people.”
