As we have already informed today that the regular four-day sittings of the National Assembly began, but the session is not going on at the moment as there is no quorum, only 27 MPs have been registered.
Speaker of the National Assembly Ara Babloyan made a statement and urged everyone to exercise restraint.
“Dear Compatriots,
During the last days, and especially today, there are shameful violations against the deputies of the National Assembly; as a result the normal activity of the National Assembly is disrupted.
I urge you to show restraint, to abstain from making insults and threats to the deputies of the National Assembly on social networks, in the streets and in public places, to stop the publication of telephone numbers and addresses of the National Assembly deputies.
I urge you to stop the illegal blockade of the houses of the Deputies of the National Assembly and refrain from interfering with the privacy of deputies of the National Assembly.
Such actions cannot lead to any positive change, cannot be tolerated for a long time by the state bodies and our citizens.
Once again I urge all our citizens, especially the youth, to show reasonableness, restraint and tolerance.”
