Actor Hayk Marutyan, who joined the demonstrators on Saryan Street, held a speech in front of the people gathered at the French Square.
“Believe, when the people rise, their voice shall be heard. I can confidently say the same to those who say that 5,000 have gathered, 10,000 gathered, but we have 3 million people. I assure you that I’m communicating with a lot of people, talking to everyone, guard, seller, taxi driver, I’ve never met someone who is happy with this situation. I am convinced that everyone here is his family representative. I can count people this minimum, multiply by 4. 80% of the state is dissatisfied with its livelihood. According to official data, there is a 30% poverty in the country, in your opinion these people are satisfied with their lives. 1 million people are dissatisfied with their lives, but if they are afraid, do not believe, and have not come, but they are with us in their minds. I am grateful to those who do not lose their hope.”
