The inauguration ceremony of the 4th President of Armenia Armen Sargsyan is taking place today, at Karen Demirchyan Sport and Concert Complex.

92 MPs are present at the ceremony.

The Constitution stipulates that the President of the Republic assumes the office at the special sitting of the National Assembly with the following oath to the people:

“Assuming the post of the President of the Republic, I swear, to be loyal to the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, to be impartial in the exercise of my powers, to be guided only by state and national interests and direct all my strength for strengthening the national unity.”
