March against the rise in prices that was launched by “Yelk” Alliance ended in Charles Aznavour Square with a speech by MP Nikol Pashinyan. Journalist of Iravaban.netreported
It should be noted that the march stopped for a moment at Amiryan-Mashtots crossroad. The Police had blocked a section of the street, but Nikol Pashinyan insisted that to provide the whole length of the street, all three lines for traffic, as they had previously reported about the route of the march. The police were reasoning that the march has few participants and there was no need to close the whole street at peak hours. Minutes later the participants of the march continued their way along the whole street.
The march ended in Charles Aznavour’s squrae. “Now, as a result of this process, if we would see the need of a rally, demonstration, or gathering we will announce the organization of this action. We call to you to finish this gathering with such agreement. … Let’s summarize our meeting with loud calls so that at least the Yerevan City Center will hear our voices in our chanting. We say ‘no’ to the rise in price, we say ‘no’ to robbery,” MP Nikol Pashinyan said.
