The Second Phase of the New CSO Capacity Building Program was launched

The educational certification program for civil society organizations (CSO) capacity building is continued at the American University of Armenia. On December 11, the training of the second group of CSOs, was launched. 15 CSO representatives from Shirak, Lori, Tavush, Gegharkunik, Syunik marzes and Yerevan attended the training.

The new educational program is implemented within the framework of the EU-funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project, which aims at making the voice of civil society heard at public discussions in Armenia. The objective is to develop sustainable and effective skills among the civil society in Armenia, to start a dialogue with government and local self-government bodies.

Mr. Khachik Gevorgyan, Executive Director of the Armenian Center for Democratic Education (CIVITAC) presented the program for the upcoming 5-day training course. “About 100 out of 200 applicants have been selected. “This is a serious opportunity for the creation of partnership relations, which later will enable to create coalitions/networks and to work with greater potential and be influencing on public policy development issues.”

Upon completion of the training course, CSO representatives will be awarded diplomas.

The new educational program is implemented within the framework of the EU-funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project, which aims at making the voice of civil society heard at public discussions in Armenia. The project is implemented by the Armenian Lawyers’ Association in cooperation with 5 partner organizations.
