Eduard Grigoryan, who was sentenced to life imprisonment on 27 October case, died at Erebuni Medical Center.
Mr. Gor Ghlechian, spokeswoman for the penitentiary department of the RA Ministry of Justice, informed 27 Iravaban.net that the convict had severe aches in the heart, and was taken to the hospital.
“More detailed information about the cause of death will be available after the forensic examination,” he said.
It should be reminded that on 27 October, 1999, an attack on the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia took place during the regular session of the government. As a result of the actions of the terrorist group, RA NA Speaker Karen Demirchyan, Prime Minister Vazgen Sargsyan and 6 other state figures and MPs were killed, 8 were injured and 91 were captured.
