Lyudvik Davtyan has been appointed Deputy Head of the Public Defender’s Office of the RA Chamber of Advocates. Former Deputy Head of the Public Defender’s Office Varser Karapetyan left the post as she was going to participate in the Fulbright Scholar Program in the United States. The Chamber of Advocates reports this.

Davtyan Davtyan was born on 4 July, 1984 in Artik City of the RA Shirak Region.
In 2005 he graduated with honors from the Law Faculty of Yerevan State University and obtained the Bachelor’s degree, and in 2007 the Master’s degree.
In the same year, he was enrolled in YSU postgraduate course (Faculty of Law, Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics).
In 2007-2008, he worked as a specialist at the European Integration Department of the Central Bank of Armenia.
In 2008-2009, he was invited to the Faculty of Law and Criminal Sciences at the University of Lausanne to carry out scientific research on thesis.
In 2010, he defended his thesis at YSU Council and received PhD in Legal Sciences (Theme: “The Criminal Investigation of Texts in the Armenian Language for Identifying the Author”).
In 2010-2011 he worked at the National Bureau of Expertise at the RA National Academy of Sciences as a Legal Consultant, and simultaneously as a lecturer at the European Regional Educational Academy in Yerevan.
In August 2011 and 2012, he was invited to the Institute of Forensic Studies of the Faculty of Law and Criminal Sciences at the University of Lausanne to continue as a invited lecturer to continue scientific research. He is an expert at Swiss Institute of Comparative Law.
He is a member of the RA Chamber of Advocates since July 2012.
Lyudvik Davtyan is author and co-author of a number of scientific articles, manuals and other scientific works.
