As a response to Anahit Tarkhanyan’s concerns highlighted in her letter to the Human Rights Defender’s Staff on the health condition of her husband Andreas Ghiukasyan who is detained in the penitentiary of “Nubarashen” of the RA Ministry of Health, the Penitentiary Department informs the following.
Although yesterday, on August 26, the Medical Working Commission had already examined Andreas Ghukasyan and concluded that his health condition was sufficient and no complaints were made by Andreas Ghukasyan as well, nevertheless as a response to the letter of Andreas Ghukasyan’s wife and with the motion of the Human Rights Defender’s Office, today Andreas Ghukasyan has had a laboratory test of blood and urine, which showed that the clinical results of blood and urine of Andreas Ghukasyan who is detained in “Nubarashen” penitentiary is within the norms. During the upcoming days other necessary examinations will be performed as well.
