The RA National Security Service informs that in the scope of anti-terrorist operation carried out in relation with the armed attack on the RA Police Patrol Service Regiment on 17 July and keeping there the hostages, five persons have already been released.
Currently active operations directed to release the other hostages kept in the PPSR and to solve the incident peacefully are carried out, including negotiations with the members of the armed group.
The National Security Service once again states that special measures that are being taken and very professional, therefore the persons who implement these activities do not need outside intervention or support.
The special units of the RA law enforcement agencies are still in a state of combat readiness, but there are no prerequisites necessary for their active involvement.
