Armenian Minister of Justice Arpine Hovhannisyan, is on a two-day visit in St. Petersburg to participate in the session of the CIS countries Council of Justice Ministers, and in St. Petersburg legal forum, which will be attended by the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev as well.
On 17 May session of the Council of Justice Ministers, Armenian Justice Minister Arpine Hovhannisyan was elected the Chairman of the Council. The agenda included a number of issues, where the ministers presented the work done in their countries. Those in particular included the issues on notary system, development of the advocacy services, NGO legislation, and other.
The Justice Ministers of the CIS countries signed a memorandum on the development of cooperation on legal security integration issues within the framework of the Eurasian Customs Union. The memorandum aims at strengthening and development of the principles adopted by the EAEU member states and the norms of the international law.
