During the preliminary investigation of the case considered in the Special Investigation Service of the RA the Executive Director of analitik.am Ani H. and the employee of the same website Varditer G. were charged for committing extortion from the MP of the RA NA, the SIS reports.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the director of analitik.am website regularly published false information about the MP and the members of his family. She also conducted meetings with the MP referring to the publications of false information, slander and other materials defaming his dignity. During the meetings she threatened to continue publishing such articles in future as well if the MP shall not pay 300 thousand AMD on monthly basis.
During the preliminary investigation the Executive Director of analitik.am Ani H. and the employee of the same website Varditer G. were charged under Article 182 Part 2, Point 2 (Extortion by a group with prior agreement) of the RA Criminal Code. Dewtention as preventive measure was applied against them on the decision of the court.
