On the night of May 5 to the morning of May 6, Azerbaijani side again opened irregular fire in the direction of the Armenian positions in the north – eastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijan border from different caliber weapons.
The RA armed forces are confidently controlling the border situation and apply adequate measures only in case of intentional violations by the enemy.
According to the operative information from NKR Defense Army, last night the operative situation on NKR –Azerbaijani line of contact remained unchanged. The enemy violated the verbal cease fire agreement on the line of contact of confronting armies on NKR – Azerbaijani troops mostly with infantry weapons and mortars. They also used 82 mm mortars and anti-tank rocket-propelled grenade launcher (RPG-7)
The vanguard units of the Defense Army continued with their military duty showed restraint and resort to retaliatory actions only in case of necessity.
