The statement made by Artsrun Hovhannisyan, the RA Ministry of Defense spokesperson, reads, as follows:
“There are intense clashes along the Northern and Southern part of the front line of Artsakh and Azerbaijani armies, where the initiative is on the Armenian side and there can be no word about the Azerbaijani success. We continue activities aimed at taming the opponent and, as a matter of fact, we have a dictating position in many parts of the front. It should be emphasized that there are ongoing clashes in some parts of the front as the rival has accumulated huge forces there.
I believe some observations should be made:
– In the so-called Azerbaijani “front reports,” if you take a closer look and pay attention to one clear detail, you’ll see that no piece of information clearly and definitely shows human and technical losses of the Armenian side, there is not even one clearly visible position that they have occupied. We have had some losses we didn’t hide or kept silent about, but they are not able to show and present even that, which means that cruel fights take place in their occupied positions and the initiative is in the hands of the Armenian side.
– Pay attention to the attitudes of the two societies to the military actions taking place for the second day: On the Armenian side the society is excited and the flux of the volunteers, leaving for the frontline singing and dancing, is indeed huge, while on the rival’s side we see the opposite picture.
– I would also like to particularly emphasize the clear and balanced behavior of the Armenian mass media: Certain media outlets successfully avoided rival’s information traps displaying sober, pro-national and professional stance, which is a significant progress compared to the previous years.
Finally, I want to reiterate, don’t pay attention to the possible circulating news about human, technical, and territorial losses of the Armenian side that is aimed at causing panic and fear among the society as the information attack is the inseparable part of the contemporary warfare. We possess clear and full information: It is being analyzed at this moment and will be presented to the society soon.”
