The shelling that was temporarily stopped by the Azerbaijani side in the city of Martakert yesterday, in the late evening, has been restarted with a new force this morning, at around 9:00 AM, and has been continuing to this very point with short pauses.
Head of the Administration of the Martakert Area Vladik Khachatryan told the «ArtsakhPress» correspondent about this, adding that, in accordance with the civil defense plan, the population of the city hid in bombshelters and goes out to run daily errands during the shelling pauses.
“The Civil Defense Headquarters of Martakert has been brought to a high level of preparedness. Apart from that, the services providing for the activities of the infrastructures of the Martakert Area Center have been actively operating. They try to quickly restore the infrastructures damaged by the enemy,” said the Head of the the Martakert Area Administration, adding that the situation is entirely under control and the fighting spirit prevails among the population.
