On 29 February, the first meeting of the Working Group on the study of the Institutional Anti-Corruption Body, which was established by the 22 January decision of the RA Ministry of Justice, took place. The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Suren Krmoyan participated in the meeting as well.
Representatives of the “Armenian Young Lawyers Association”, “Freedom of Information Center”, “Protection of Rights without Boarders” Non-Governmental Organizations, as well as from the Ministry of Justice are involved in the working group.
During the working discussion Mr. Suren Krmoyan urged the members of the working group to study the international practice of the anti-corruption bodies and to consider the possible applicability of the models in the Republic of Armenia.
During the meeting, distribution of work for the study of the anti-corruption bodies operating in different countries according to their models and functions and for summary of the studies under the leadership of the head of the working group Karen Hakobyan, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the RA Ministry of Justice. A period of one month for this purpose was set.
