Kaeren Andreasyan assumed the office of the Human Rights Defender on 3 March 2011. On 12 January, 2016 he submitted a resignation letter.

His wife, advocate Eva Arakelyan’s declaration does not include any data on purchase or alienation of property, or any loans as well. It indicates that her funds totaled to 30 million AMD. Income from remuneration was 6 million 478 thousand 640 AMD.
In 2015 the Ombudsman has not submitted a declaration. However in 2016 when he resigned he sub,itted a declaration. Thus at the moment of termination the ex-ombudsman declared 1 flat in aan apartment building, 1 unfinished construction, which does not yet have a state registration, 43 million AMD and 780 thousand AMD as remuneration for labor.
