The Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of General Department of the Investigative Committee of the RA has initiated a criminal case on the fact of embezzlement of an especially large amount of money from the funds of an EU Grant.
The RA Investigative Committee received the results of an audit conducted by the Finance, Contracts and Audit Section of the EU Delegation to the Republic of Armenia, according to which the funds of a grant provided to one of the Armenian organizations were not used properly and embezzlement of an especially large amount of money had taken place.
The Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of General Department of the Investigative Committee of the RA has initiated a criminal case under the provisions of Article 179, Part 3, Point 1 of the RA Criminal Code.
Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are being taken to clarify the essential circumstances under the criminal case.
