In the Republic the situation caused by the flu and acute respiratory infections has improved. 99 percent of the recovered patients are discharged from hospitals without any further health issues. The RA Minister of Health Armen Muradyan told this to the journalists after the RA Government session.
In answer to the question related to the extension of winter holydays at schools and at children’s pre-school establishments, the minister noted that monitoring is being carried out and after analyzing the data the Ministry will present an appropriate offer if needed.
Armen Muradyan also answered to the questions in connection with the antivirus medications stating that all the medical institutions of the country, including the hospitals and out-patient policlinics, are provided with the necessary amount of “Tamiflu” antivirus medication.
“There is no patient who needed medications but hasn’t received them,” the minister explained.
He informed that in the last 3 days the stabilizing trend of the situation caused by influenza and acute respiratory infections has been preserved. According to him a certain improvement can be considered as a regularity.
The minister stressed the importance of the high vigilance demonstrated by people and the application to the medical institutions at the earliest possible stage.
Touching upon the information of importing antitumor drugs to Armenia he informed that the RA Ministry of Health has allocated to the medical institutions carrying out oncology services for free of charge or in preferential terms expensive antitumor drugs, namely the drug “Avastin” received as a humanitarian aid by the United Armenian Fund.
