From December 9 to 11, 2015 the fourth session of the International Anti-Corruption Academy’s Assembly of Party States took place in Vienna. The event was attended by over 50 Party States of the International Anti-Corruption Academy and the official delegations of the international organizations. The RA official delegation was represented by the Deputy Minister of Justice Vigen Kocharyan and the Rector of the RA Justice Academy Ruben Melikyan.
On 9 December, in his speech at the Assembly Vigen Kocharyan spoke about the activities carried out against the corruption in the Republic of Armenia. Namely, the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Vigen Kocharyan noted that the fight against corruption is one of the targets of the RA state policy, and he outlined the adoption of the Anti-Corruption Strategy and Action Plan, the formation of the Anti-Corruption Council and the introduction of a number of new legal regulations as the most important events carried out by our country in 2015-2018.
Vigen Kocharyan also presented the existing issues and the achievements in the field of fight against corruption, which were evaluated by famous international organizations.
During the joint discussions, agreements have been reached to deepen the international cooperation in this field, the first step of which was the sighing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the RA Academy of Justice and the International Anti-Corruption Academy of Vienna, which will function as a stable basis for the mutual cooperation between the two institutions.
